The Child Abuse Prevention Center's programs and operations are funded through a combination of government grants, corporate contributions and individual donations. Your support will help us continue our good work for children.

How to Contribute

The following is a list of the types of gifts you might consider.

  • Gifts of cash.
  • Financial instruments such as securities, bonds, stock options, and mutual funds.
  • Gifts of Life Insurance, Bequests in Wills or Living Trust.
  • Many forms of property, such as real estate and partnership interests.
  • Airline miles.
  • Your employer may be able to match your gift on a yearly basis. Check with your employer for more information on matched gifts and Corporate Sponsorships.

Examples of how your gift can help a child or family include the following.

Monthly Pledges:

  • $50 a month can provide academic and emotional support to a foster youth
  • $75 a month can provide in home support to a high risk family
  • $100 a month can provide parent education to 20 families
  • $250 a month can support one child in preschool / child care with two meals per day
  • $500 a month can keep services available to 300 families in a community resource center by paying the utilities
  • $800 a month can serve over 50 families for a year by an AmeriCorps member
    One-time Gifts:
  • $100 keeps a child warm during the winter
  • $500 educates 10 families with new babies about the danger of Shaken Baby Syndrome
  • $1,000 provides in home services to one family for a year
  • $10,000 operates a family / child care center internationally for one year
  • $100,000 trains 20,000 professionals and volunteers to serve high risk children and families
  • $250,000 funds a statewide child sexual abuse prevention campaign
  • $650,000 pays the balance of the mortgage of the CAP Center headquarters
