Physician Training
Through a grant from the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), the Child Abuse Prevention Center facilitated the development of this on-line Physician’s Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training. The training was developed by physicians for physicians.
The training provides the following:
- real scenarios to guide physicians through the identification and reporting of suspected child abuse;
- common concerns and misconceptions regarding mandated reporting; and
- interactive learning modules that are short and self-paced.
The training is available through the Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ) for Continuing Medical Education (CME) units free of charge. Below is a link to the training.
